Yes — we'd always recommend booking ahead. We work to a fixed number of stations, so there's no flexibility to squeeze in walk-ins on the day. Sessions fill quickly, especially at weekends, so if you've got a date in mind it's worth securing it early.

None at all. art-ful splat is genuinely for everyone — whether you've never touched a brush in your life or you paint every weekend. Our studio assistants are always around if you'd like any guidance, but honestly, the less you overthink it, the better your piece tends to turn out.

Everything you need is covered in the session price. That means a standard canvas (40×50cm), full protective gear (poncho, shoe covers, safety glasses and optional gloves), all the paint you could want, and a full range of tools — brushes, syringes, water pistols, stencils and more.

At the end of your session, your finished artwork goes home in a takeaway box. Upgrades — like a large canvas (40×76cm) or full-body PPE coveralls — can be added at the time of booking, or on the day subject to availability.

Yes. If you'd prefer to have the studio to yourselves — for a birthday party, hen do, corporate event or any other private gathering — get in touch and we'll put something together for you. The front studio (Splat Art) holds up to 10 guests; the dedicated neon studio holds up to 12 guests.

Children are welcome, and the setup varies depending on age:

• Ages 4–7: Must book a Parent & Young Child ticket and share a station with an adult on a one-to-one basis.

• Ages 8–15: Must have a responsible adult in the studio with them. The adult will need to book their own station — we can't accommodate spectators in the studio.

• Ages 16+: Can attend without an accompanying adult.

If you're not sure which ticket to choose, drop us a message before booking.

Unfortunately not during a general session — space in the studio is limited, so non-paying spectators aren't able to come in. If you're supervising a child aged 8–15, you'll need to book your own station. If you'd like to watch without participating, exclusive hire may be a better option for your group.

Old clothes you don't mind ruining — that's the honest answer. We kit everyone out with a poncho, shoe covers and safety glasses, but paint has a knack for finding gaps, and our professional-grade acrylics can stain. Dress for a bit of mess and you'll enjoy yourself far more.

Sessions run for one hour. We work to a fixed schedule so that each group gets a freshly cleaned and set-up studio — which means we can't extend sessions or let them run over. If you arrive late, your session will still end at the original time, so it's worth arriving five minutes early to settle in and make the most of it.

Let us know if you can — it helps us know you're on the way. Bear in mind that late arrivals don't get extra time; sessions end at the scheduled time regardless, so we can clean and reset for the next group. If you're more than 20 minutes late we may not be able to accommodate you, so do your best to arrive on time.

During a general session, yes — you'll share the studio with other guests. You get your own dedicated station and a set of tools for your personal use; paints and some additional equipment are shared. If you'd prefer the studio to yourselves, ask us about exclusive hire.

Absolutely — we love it when you do. Capture the chaos, show off your finished piece, and tag us on socials. We genuinely enjoy seeing what people create and may share it too. Just be aware that by entering the studio you're consenting to the possibility of being photographed for our own social media use.

We take care of all the station and equipment cleaning — that's on us. There are large sinks available with plenty of soap and towels if you need to wash your hands or get paint off yourself before heading home.

Yes. Every session includes a takeaway box so you can carry your canvas straight out of the studio. Your painting will still be wet when you finish, so handle it carefully — think of it a bit like transporting a large pizza. We don't store canvases at the studio, so everything needs to leave with you at the end of your session.
